I think “navigullible” should be a word. Its for the buttons or a navigation on web sites that make you think your going somewhere or getting something that’s not true.
Think about it, “Free Download” buttons. Duh! Its free to download but you still have to pay for it. These assume the users are “navigullible”. Expecting users to click to get something when you end up tricking them. Oh surprise its not free or available! Its irritating and deceptive.
Another example is when a site says “click here to be notified of when the site is live (or the product is available)”. Then you get news letters every week. No, i clicked here to be notified when its ready, not constantly updated about its progress.
When building a web site, be honest don’t trick your users. Don’t make them navigullible.
